Very nice shot Yves. The angle really shows how nicely the wings tuck in and the beautiful colours on the head. As for the bug agree with Jane it will remain a mystery.

Thank you for commenting Debra. Maybe it's one of those weird fishing lures. may be the jucy spider was next to it and the grackle grab the lure when catching the spider.

Description
This common grackle pick someting to eat from under an old dead tree at the water level. I have tried many time to identify the white beatle with kind of wings shown off his beak but never could so far. In the back of the beak two legs are shown. That I'm prety sure is a spider. (taken june 2025)
